Terms of Service

1. What Regradia is

Regradia is a subscription service for learning to code. It includes structured learning pathways, an AI tutor, scheduled reviews of what you have learned, and an optional link to your Google Calendar.

2. Who can use it

• You must be at least 12 years old.
• If you are 12, a parent or legal guardian must give us verified consent before you create an account. Our Privacy Policy explains how.
• If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must read these Terms and agree to them for you. That adult is responsible for your use of the Service and for all payments.
• Payments must be made by an adult who is allowed to use the payment card.
• You may not use the Service if we have closed an earlier account of yours for breaking these Terms.

3. Your account

• Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Each account is for one person. Do not share your login.
• Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• Tell us at info@regradia.com if you think someone else has used your account.
• You can sign in with an email and password or with Google.

4. The AI tutor

• The tutor is an artificial intelligence system, not a person. It runs on Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic.
• The tutor can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check important information and test code before you rely on it.
• The Service is for education only. It is not professional advice.
• We do not promise a job, a grade, an exam result or any other outcome.
• Some review cards are written by AI.
• Do not put passwords, payment details, health information or other people's personal information into tutor chats.

5. Free trial

• New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. We ask for a payment card to start it.
• Each person can have one free trial.
• Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription starts automatically and we charge your card the monthly price.
• We send a reminder email about two days before the first charge.

6. Subscription, price and renewal

• The subscription costs $24.99 per month, plus any taxes that apply where you live.
• Your subscription renews automatically every month, and we charge your card each time, until you cancel.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number.
• If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it. You keep access for a short period while it retries. If payment still fails, your access ends until payment succeeds.
• If we change the price, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you. You can cancel before then if you do not agree.

7. Cancelling and refunds

• You can cancel at any time from your Profile page. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not charge you again.
• We refund your first subscription charge if you ask within 7 days of that charge.
• Other payments are not refunded, except where the law requires it.

8. Fair use of the tutor

• Lessons and reviews are unlimited.
• The tutor has fair-use limits, so that it stays available and affordable for every learner. The current limits are 100 tutor messages a day and 3,000 characters per message.
• We may change these limits and will show the current limits on our website.
• If your use goes far beyond normal learning, we may slow the tutor's replies or use a different AI model for the rest of your billing period.

9. Acceptable use

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of these Terms. In short, the tutor is for learning the Regradia curriculum. You may not use it as a general chatbot, access it with scripts, share your account or try to get around the limits.

10. Your content

• Your content is the messages you write and the code you submit. You keep ownership of it.
• You give us permission to store, process and display your content in order to run and improve the Service. This includes sending it to our AI provider to produce tutor replies and to grade placement tasks.
• We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to advertise to you.
• You are responsible for your content. Do not submit anything you have no right to share.

11. Our content

• The Service, including its curriculum, lessons, review cards, software and design, belongs to Regradia or its licensors.
• While your subscription or trial is active, you may use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial learning.
• You may not copy, resell or scrape the Service, or use it to build a competing product or to train AI models.
• You may freely use code the tutor writes for you during lessons. We do not promise that this code is free of errors or of other people's rights.

12. Other companies' services

• The Service relies on Google for sign-in and Calendar, Stripe for payments and Anthropic for the AI tutor. Their own terms apply to your use of their services.
• If you connect Google Calendar, we add, change and remove Regradia review events in your calendar. You can disconnect it at any time from your Profile page.

13. Suspending and closing accounts

• You can stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account, email info@regradia.com.
• We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if payment fails, or if the law requires it.
• For serious breaches, such as scripted access, account sharing or abuse, we may act immediately.
• If we close your account for a reason other than your breach, we refund the unused part of your current billing period.
• We may change or remove features. If we shut the Service down, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and refund any unused time you have paid for.

14. Disclaimers

We provide the Service "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the tutor's output will be accurate.

15. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill.
• Our total liability for all claims about the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.

Some states and countries do not allow these limits. Where that is so, the limits apply only as far as the law allows. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

16. Claims caused by your actions

If you break these Terms or the law, and someone brings a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable costs from that claim. This applies only to the extent the law allows.

17. Governing law and disputes

• The laws of the State of [State], United States, govern these Terms.
• If you have a complaint, contact us first at info@regradia.com. We will try to resolve it within 30 days.
• If we cannot resolve it, either of us may bring a claim in the state or federal courts located in [State].
• If you are a consumer living outside the United States, you keep the protections that the mandatory laws of your country give you. You may also bring a claim in your local courts where those laws allow it.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that date, you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, you can cancel.

19. General

• These Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Refund and Cancellation Policy are the whole agreement between you and us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
• If a court finds part of these Terms invalid, the rest still applies.
• If we do not enforce a term, we can still enforce it later.
• You may not transfer your account or these Terms to anyone else. We may transfer them as part of a merger or a sale of our business.
• We send notices to the email address on your account.
