Why is a card required for the trial?

It keeps the AI tutor available to real learners. You are not charged until day 8, and you get a reminder 2 days before.

What is FSRS?

A modern memory model from spaced-repetition research. Regradia uses it to estimate how stable each concept is and how likely you are to recall it today — the numbers on every review card. The review dates themselves are fixed: day 3, 7 and 18 after you learn a topic.

Do I have to connect Google Calendar?

No. Reviews are scheduled on day 3, 7 and 18 after each topic either way, and wait in your daily queue. Connecting adds them to your calendar as all-day items, and you can disconnect at any point.
